Join us for this 3 week Yin Yoga immersion course to discover this slow paced form of yoga and really let go. Open to everybody, with an optional *10 hour add-on YACEP accreditation for Yoga Teachers.
the art of the pause
This calming practice is like setting the reset button for our body and mind. What may seem like a simple practice on the surface is a profound tool for healing and growth.
nervous system reset
Stress, worry, trauma and unprocessed emotions are stored in the muscles and nervous system as tension. By focusing on long slow stretches, Yin works to find release for the nervous system.
Accessible for all
Mostly a floor-based practice, Yin is a great way to enjoy yoga even with physical or health limitations. It can help people who are very stiff increase movement and flexibility in the body.
What our people say
Julia, Yoga Student
Before the course started I was a little unsure of whether all the students would be teachers. I was taking the course for my own personal growth and knowledge. I needn't of worried as there was a good split but also Liezl made us all so comfortable, anyone at any level would feel fine. I thoroughly enjoyed all subjects covered particularly learning the impact at a deeper level of how the body responds to the poses and how to take time to notice the quite often subtle changes within myself. I've always loved the slower held poses so Yin is perfect for me. Since completing the course I have found I take so much more from all the yoga classes I do and have the confidence to do my own routine based on what I feel I need at that time. Would thoroughly recommend the course.
Georgina, Yoga Teacher
For Yoga teachers, the teacher training component is comprehensive and very well-structured. There was clear guidance on all aspects of lesson planning and how to get started sharing Yin Yoga. The course tutor, Liezl, was extremely knowledgeable and supportive and a role model for how Yin Yoga can be shared. We also spent time reflecting on how we can ensure that we are working on a practice that is personalised for ourselves and students so that there are real benefits for everyone. This was a very professionally run course with good course materials and clear standards and criteria for the final assessment, which included a written assignment and a lesson observed by the tutor. After completing this, I felt I had gained a solid foundation to bring Yin Yoga into my self-practice and start guiding others and go on developing as a teacher.
