We know there are a lot of 200 Online YTT courses out there. And picking a school is a huge decision to make. We'd love to share with you our syllabus overview for each of the 4 modules, and associated hours, resources etc.

Module 1:  FOUNDATIONs OF HATHA YOGA- PRINCIPLES, LIFESTYLe & PRACTICE

Orientation Meeting for all Teachers & Students (Sunday, the date of course commencement)

 

● All teachers and students will join together in this one orientation meeting

● Detailed Overview of the Course, Syllabus, Guidelines, Rules, and Expectations

● Elaborative time for Questions & Answers

 

Teaching Aids and Material: Online files, PDF Manuals, Handouts

Aim: Bring concrete changes in eating habits and lifestyle, quality sleep, mental clarity, confidence and will power, dietary changes. Deep understanding of Yoga as a way of life. Scientific training of Asanas with proper breathing rhythm. Psycho-physiological training of Asanas for mind & body. Increase flexibility, mobility and balance. Improved brain functions. Hatha Yoga Theory.

Total Contact Hours with Teachers: 20

Total Non-Contact Hours: 30

Total Hours: 50

Brief summary of topics and calculation of hours of practice and study:

● Meditation, Conditioning, Reflections, and Chanting (3 hours)

● Asana Theory & Practice (5 hours, 30 minutes)

● Pranayama Theory & Practice (2 hours)

● Guided Yogic Relaxation w/ Jeenal (30 minutes)

● Anatomy & Physiology (2 hours) - Nervous System in Connection to Pranayamas - Importance of the Spinal Column in Yoga Practice

● Yoga Philosophy & Theory (3 hours,45 minutes) - Psychophysiological Training of Asanas - Dharma, Jnana, Vairagya & Aishwarya Bhavas - Yoga Lifestyle (Four-Pillars of Yoga → Nutrition & Food, Yogic Routine, Relaxation, and Thought Training) - Theory & Practice of Relaxation Techniques

 

Assignments: Daily journaling and Reflections, Self-Discipline to follow a healthy diet and routine, watching life changing videos and documentaries, mental disciple, quality sleep guidelines etc, taking your daily vitamins, herbs.

Module 2: YOGA PSYCHOLOGY & PHILOSOPHY

Teaching Aids and Material: Online files, PDF Manuals, Handouts

 

Aim: Understanding your mind, thought, personality through the study of Yoga Psychology through scriptural study of Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Systems of Indian Philosophy and Sankhya Yoga Philosophy. Learning breathing techniques to regulate the Bio-energy to bring deep healing and rejuvenation (Pranayama). Scientific training of Asanas with proper breathing rhythm. Psycho-physiological training of Asanas for mind & body. Increase flexibility, mobility and balance. Improved brain functions. Hatha Yoga Theory

Total Contact Hours with Teachers: 20

Total Non-Contact Hours: 30

● Pranayama Practice (45 minutes)

● Trataka Theory & Practice (15 minutes)

● Kriya Theory and Practice (75 minutes)

● Place of Yoga in the 6 Systems of Indian Philosophy (75 minutes)

● Sankhya Philosophy (75 minutes)

● Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (3 hours, 15 minutes)

Assignment: Daily journaling and Reflections, Self-Discipline to follow a healthy diet and routine, watching life changing videos and documentaries, mental disciple, quality sleep guidelines etc, taking your daily vitamins, herbs.

Module 3:  THE YOGA OF MEDITATION & DHARMA (DUTY)

Teaching Aids and Material: Online files, PDF Manuals, Handouts

Aim: Clearing Myths of Yoga, Meditation and Spiritual practices, Study of Ashtanga and Raja Yoga as per Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and Bhagavad Gita, Understanding Role of Dharma, Theory of Karma Yoga. Learning breathing techniques to regulate the Bio-energy to bring deep healing and rejuvenation (Pranayama). Scientific training of Asanas with proper breathing rhythm. Psycho-physiological training of Asanas for mind & body. Increase flexibility, mobility and balance. Improved brain functions. Hatha Yoga Theory.

Assignments: Daily journaling and Reflections, Self-Discipline to follow a healthy diet and routine, watching life changing videos and documentaries, mental disciple, quality sleep guidelines etc, taking your daily vitamins, herbs.

Module 4: YOGA PHYSIOLOGY & TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Aim: Practice Teaching Yoga Techniques, Demonstration skills, Teachers Ethics, Learning to give constructive feedback and correction. Completion of assignment. Resolving all doubts and review. Final module.

● Yoga Teaching Methodology (3 hours, 45 minutes) - Senior Citizens, Children, Teenagers, and Working People - Teacher Skills & Ethics - Lesson Planning

Assignment: Daily journaling and Reflections, Self-Discipline to follow a healthy diet and routine, watching life changing videos and documentaries, mental disciple, quality sleep guidelines etc, taking your daily vitamins, herbs. Getting ready for the final assignment submission. Practice teaching.
